ABOUT

My mission as a business consultant is pretty straightforward—to help professional services business owners regain their personal lives and reconnect with the reason they began their business.

I do this by helping business owners increase their leads and conversions, which results in increased revenue and profits. When my strategies are implemented properly, one of the rewards is freedom. This freedom enables business owners more time with family and friends, and more time to work ON their business instead of IN their business.

Let’s face it, anyone who has started and grown a successful business at some point loses sight of the reason they began the business in the first place. Why? Because they end up spending so much time IN their business, they forget to carve out precious time to work ON their business. As a result, they end up jumping from one fire to the next, resulting in little time to review and assess their vision for the business.

I know first-hand this endless cycle. It’s a cycle that eventually leads to frustration, heart ache, overwhelm, and burnout.

One of my first companies was an artisan chocolate company. It began as a side project that eventually morphed into a full-blown business. This after the encouragement of friends and family that I should sell the products I was creating. I jumped head first into the chocolate business. But there was one problem. While I had become quite a talented chocolatier, I knew little about building and running a business, let alone a profitable business.

Start with the end in mind! No one had told me this at the time, so I spent years running and building my business from pure reaction mode. There was very little planning—I had no time for that—I was wearing too many hats that left little time for working ON my business. I had become trapped IN my business, the very business which I lovingly nurtured from the beginning.

After a nine-year run, I was forced to close the business that had literally come to define my identity. So, I know what it’s like to worry endlessly about where money for the next payroll is coming from, or lying awake at night after a 14-hour day trying to figure out how to get more customers.

I have made it my mission to help other business owners avoid the mistakes that I and so many other business owners have made, so they can live more fulfilling lives.

Your business should be working for you—not the other way around!

Dennis has worked in a multitude of industries including engineering and environmental consulting, transportation planning and construction, business banking, and retail management.
